Supervision is a story about a man whoâs done wrong, but wants to do right - despite everything that gets in his way.Reported and hosted by Emily Corwin, Supervision follows Josh Lavenets, a man whose case is not uncommon: heâs poor, heâs been convicted of domestic assault, and he struggles with mental health disorders. Josh longs to be a good father and upstanding citizen. When the New Hampshire Parole Board lets Josh out of prison on parole, both he - and the system thatâs supposed to support him - are put to the test.Supervision was originally released in May of 2019 with four episodes. Emily and the producers thought the reporting was done. Then a listener led Emily to new information which she hadnât had access to previously. Once she discovered it, she realized the story sheâd told was incomplete. This new information didnât just lead to a new fifth episode: it shifted the lens of the entire series.
